Beginning January 5 PCSD will have in-person learning five days each week
The Postville Board of Education, at its regular meeting Monday, December 14, approved the second semester schedule for attendance for students within the district. The district will go back to having students on campus beginning in January.
Superintendent of Schools, Tim Dugger said, “As a school, we are grateful to make it through the first semester. There have been many ups and downs, but the goal of keeping face to face learning consistent was accomplished.”
School will be dismissed Wednesday, December 23 for winter break and classes will resume Tuesday, January 5. Wednesday, January 6 will be a regular school day with the regular dismissal time. However, Wednesdays January 13, 20 and 27 will be early out days with school being dismissed 1:30 p.m. for teacher development.
Mr. Dugger concluded by saying, “We look forward to doing our best to keep school open while maintaining everyone’s safety. School will remain face to face as long as we can avoid school-based virus transmission while having enough staff to teach our students. Parents are reminded to notify the school immediately if they have any important information regarding the health of their children. This includes any and all symptoms of illness.”
