Soccer team defeats Charles City as the defense shines

Last week the Pirate soccer team played Charles City in Waverly on Friday. 

The Pirates won the game 10-0. It was 5-0 at half time and Postville scored their 10th goal in the 70th minute so the game was ended. 

Coach RJ Olsen said, “In the varsity game, our defensive effort from Wilmar Marroquin, Jose Solovi Perez, and Jeffry Lopez were commendable. 

Tournament action begins Monday, May 20 against Clear Lake. The game will be played at Waverly with start time scheduled for 5 p.m.

Currently the Pirates’ record is 9-5 as they go into the final week of action.
