Rain did not dampen the amount of vendors and activities at Postville’s first Farmers Market of the season.

A variety of vendors sold bread, flowers, vegetables, and more, and a taco truck was on site. The Conservation Station, a portable trailer about water and land conservation from Iowa State University’s Water Rocks! and Iowa Learning Farms programs, was also present, featuring educational videos, a Poo Toss game for kids, a table showing how water runoff works, and a series of soil samples to illustrate soil erosion.

The Postville Farmers Market will be held each Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. through September. Updates can be found on the Postville Market Facebook page.
