Pirate Homecoming Victory

Pirates have happy Homecoming as they defeat Starmont 37-21 for first win of season

The Pirates capped off Homecoming week in fine fashion as they brought home the first win of the season last Friday night. Both the offense and defense made some big plays in the 37-21 win.

The game opened with the Pirates on offense and on the first play from scrimmage, Robert White ran the ball into the end zone for a touchdown. After a successful kick by Uvaldo Camarillo, the score was 7-0.

The defense held the Stars to a three and out on their first series and, after the punt, Postville got the ball back on their own 36 yard line. However, after making no progress, they were forced to punt. The Stars got a break when Postville fumbled the snap. With excellent field position, Starmont went in for the score but with a missed extra point, the Pirates held on to a slim 7-6 lead.
