Kenneth Milton Perry

Kenneth Milton Perry, 85 of Waukon, Iowa sadly on September 13, 2024, went home to join his wife, Norma in heaven. They were married fifty-eight years before she passed away in 2022. Kenneth, the son of Chester and Bessie (McIntosh) Perry was born on October 21, 1938. He grew up on a farm near Castalia. Kenneth graduated from Postville High School where he was a wrestler and still talked about how he would have gone to state had he listened to his coach.

Kenneth was united in marriage to the love of his life, Norma Jean Weston on June 7, 1964. They moved to the family farm when Ken’s dad became ill. They later moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa as they both started jobs at Rockwell Collins. He was a proud member of the IBEW 1362. Ken later retired from Rockwell Collins.

In his spare time, Ken loved to fish, hunt, ice fish, boat, have fish frys, camp, play cards and sit by the camp fires. He found great joy going to his grandchildren’s activities and spending time and visiting with his family.

Surviving Ken is his three sons, Kenny (Shellie) Perry of Marion, Iowa, Kirk (Brenda) Perry of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Kyle (Chris) Perry of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren, Sean, Shannon and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Jakoby and Aspen; He was also a father figure for four of his nephews, Adam, Dan, Jed and Drew Batterson, after they tragically lost their father.

Ken was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Perry on August 26, 2022; parents, Chester and Bessie Perry; sister, Lois; and his brother, Marvin.
