Lavonne Sylvia Mabb, 86 of Postville, Iowa passed away peacefully Sunday, September 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family after a long illness. Lavonne was born October 11, 1935 to Vernon and Lilian (Olson) Trudo. She was baptized and confirmed at Norway Lutheran Church in St. Olaf, Iowa.

On August 6, 1965, Lavonne was united in marriage with Mervil Eugene Mabb at the Norway Lutheran Church. Together they raised six children and owned and operated Mabb’s Bar in Postville. Lavonne enjoyed dancing, fishing, visiting with her friends and spending time with her family.

Surviving Lavonne are her husband of sixty -eight years, Merv Mabb of Postviile, Iowa; and her children, Mark (Jacquie) Landt, Kim (Ann) Landt, Joni Wisehart, Looch (Julie) Lerch and Lisa (Oreo and Simba). Lavonne was preceded in death by her son, David Landt; parents, Vernon and Lillian Trudo; sister, Betty McMann; and one great - grandson, Christopher Scarff.

A Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Norway Lutheran Church in St. Olaf, Iowa.

Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, September 23, 2022 at Norway Lutheran Church in St. Olaf, Iowa with Rev. Marshall Hahn as the officiant.

Inurnment will follow at Norway Lutheran Cemetery in St. Olaf, Iowa.
