Susan ‘Sue’ (Braun) Jeidy
PLOVER, Wisconsin — Susan “Sue” (née Braun) Jeidy, of Plover, Wisconsin, entered eternal rest on November 29, 2024, at Edenbrook Nursing Home in Wisconsin Rapids, at the age of 84, and is now in the comfort of God.
A funeral service will be held for Sue at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at Shuda Funeral Chapel - 3200 Stanley Street, Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Friends and family are invited to gather and share memories at the funeral home from 4 - 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 and again Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Sue was born in Postville on Nov. 5, 1940; daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (née Kuhse) Braun. On March 26, 1964, Sue married Robert “Bob” Earl Jeidy; the man who stole her heart. In the early years of their marriage, Sue and Bob lived in several areas in Wisconsin, relocating to follow Bob’s silo career. In 1978, they settled down in Plover, Wisconsin, with their daughter, Trisha, and son, Ryan. While Sue worked outside the home at various jobs, her longest position was working at McCains. She worked here until her retirement when she was able to live every grandmother’s dream; to stay home and help care for her grandchildren until they were in school.
Before Bob and Sue filled their lives with children and grandchildren, they enjoyed a rich social life, playing cards with friends, participating in bowling leagues and going dancing together; an activity they both greatly enjoyed together. Once becoming a mother, and eventually a grandmother, Sue devoted her time to creating life-long memories with the beautiful family she and Bob created together. Sue also liked to keep her mind sharp with computer games, puzzles and reading. She found fulfillment in helping out at church, both The Springs United Methodist Church in Plover and St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Stevens Point. And of course, Sue looked forward to her weekly hair appointment on Saturdays.
Sue is survived by her daughter, Trisha (Scott) Moody of Nekoosa, Wisconsin; her son, Ryan Jeidy of Stevens Point, Wisconsin; her grandchildren, Tarren (Tayler), Dakota, Zachary, Wyatt, Violet, and Rosalie; and her great-grandchildren, Diamond and Maximus. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Bonnie (Tom) Hiebel of Catonsville, Maryland; her brother-in-law, Grant (Jorie) of Wind Lake, Wisconsin; and nephews and nieces who loved her dearly, along with some great friends.
Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bob; her parents, Joseph and Lillian; her parents-in-law, Earl and Emma Jeidy; her brother, Lloyd Braun; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack and Betty Jeidy and Bill and Jean Trumm; special friends, Eugene “Jug” and Marlene “Molly” Drallmeier; and many other friends.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff at Heartland Hospice and Edenbrook Nursing Home for helping Mom and making her feel special. For those wishing to express their sympathies, the family kindly suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Sue’s honor, to be put toward a memorial to be determined at a later date.
Mom, you can now rest and we know you and Dad are dancing the night away.
