Postville announces back to school dates

The Postville Community School District has announced dates and times for events related to returning to school next week.

The first day of school for students in junior kindergarten though high school will be Tuesday (Aug. 22) and will be a full day with dismissal at 3:30 p.m. Four-year-old preschoolers return to school Monday, Aug. 29.

Meet the Teachers Day is planned for Friday (Aug. 19) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to junior kindergarten through sixth-grade and 12:30 to 4 p.m. for seventh- through 12th-graders.

Seventh-grade orientation is set for Monday, Aug. 22 at 5 p.m. at the Fine Arts Auditorium while freshman orientation will be Monday, Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Fine Arts Auditorium.
