Michelle Ann Schlee
Michelle Ann Schlee, 56, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2020, at her residence in Strawberry Point. She was born on July 26, 1964, in Key West, Florida, the daughter of Nyle and Linda (Reilly) Nesvik. Michelle graduated from Postville High School with the class of 1983 and from Capri Cosmetology College in Cedar Rapids in 1984.
On April 23, 1988, Michelle was united in marriage to Chris Schlee at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. To this union four children were born: Seth, Reed, Paige, and Zane. She worked as a cosmetologist in Decorah and Postville before Chris and Michelle made their home in Strawberry Point in 1993. She has spent the past years as a homemaker and working with her husband in the construction business.
Michelle enjoyed reading, gardening, playing golf, and DIY projects. She truly had an artistic eye. We all enjoyed her cooking, even if she didn't think so. But there was nothing more enjoyable for her than spending time with her kids and especially her grandkids. It's all she ever talked about! Michelle had felt blessed to be a charter member of Mission in Christ Lutheran Church and blessed to have such a loving church family.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Chris; four children, Seth (Samantha) Schlee of Strawberry Point, Reed (Rachel) Schlee of Marion, Paige (Will Neumeister) Schlee of Holy Cross, and Zane (Mica Moeller) Schlee of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, Sawyer and June Schlee, Haddie and Raelynne Schlee, and Jack Neumeister; her mother, Linda (Lloyd) McClain of Marion; a sister, Annette (Marty) Looney of Cedar Rapids; and a brother, Scott Nesvik of Portland, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her father, Nyle.
