Mejia, Acevedo earn All-UIC girls’ basketball honors

POSTVILLE — A pair of Postville High School girls’ basketball players were cited on the 2024-25 Upper Iowa Conference All-Conference team.
Senior Meluni Mejia and junior Delia Acevedo earned honorable mention honors on the team, which is selected by league coaches.
Mejia led the Pirates with 7.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. Acevedo averaged 2.3 points per game and led the Pirates with two assists per contest. She also pulled down 3.6 rebounds per game.
The Pirates finished with a 1-19 record.
