Jenny Maria (Kleve) Rankin

Jenny Maria (Kleve) Rankin, 42, Postville, Iowa, formerly of Calmar, Iowa, died Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Gundersen Health Systems, La Crosse, WI. Jenny was born on October 19, 1978, in Decorah, Iowa, to Melvin and Shirley (Holthaus) Kleve. Jenny graduated from South Winneshiek High School and attended Kirkwood Community College and NICC in Calmar.

Jenny was united in marriage to Ray Rankin Jr. on October 7, 2000, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar, Iowa. Four children were born to this union. Jenny worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Rankin Jr., Postville; four children, Riley Christopher , Jayden Mae, Addyson Rae and Landyn Edward Rankin, Postville; her mother, Shirley Kleve, Calmar; her mother-in-law, Rita Rankin, West Union; her sister, Theresa Kleve, Ossian; her brother, Rodney Kleve, Madison, WI; her sister-in-law, Darlene (John) Fels, Hawkeye; her brother-in-law, Henry (Amy) Rankin, Postville and several other family members.

Jenny was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Kleve; her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Julia Kleve; her maternal grandparents, Severin and Dorothy Holthaus and her father-in-law, Raymond Rankin Sr.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 from 3-7 pm at St. Bridget Catholic Church, Postville, Iowa, with a rosary at 7 pm led by Rev. Chris Podhajsky. Visitation will also be held one hour before mass time at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar on Friday.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 8th, 2021 at 11am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Calmar, Iowa. The Rev. Chris Podhajsky will be the celebrant.

Inurnment will take place at St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery in Calmar, Iowa.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family or mailed to Ray Rankin Jr., PO Box 316, Postville, Iowa, 52162.
