James Dean Chamberlain

CEDAR RAPIDS – James Dean Chamberlain, 70, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died July 11, 2021 at his home due to a medical issue.

The son of Wayne and Marjorie Chamberlain, James was born August 25, 1950 and was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Luana. He grew up on the family farm north of Luana.

He graduated from MFL High School and the University of Iowa.

James will be remembered for his benevolent heart, his love of antiques and his sense of humor.

Survivors include his sister, Kathryn McFarlane, his brother, Kenneth Chamberlain, sister-in-law, Carol and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Mary, brother-in-law, Don McFarlane and niece, Tia.

There will be a private family burial.
