Positive cases of COVID-19 in Allamakee County increases by one

The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Allamakee County increased by one in the last seven days, bringing the total in the county to 123. Although the case was originally attributed to Winneshiek County, it was later determined the person actually resides in Allamakee County.

Allamakee County has recorded four deaths from the virus and 99 persons have recovered.

Statewide, as of June 29, 28,593 positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported. The number of deaths in Iowa has been reported to be 706 with 17,573 Iowans recovering.

As June comes to a close, one out of every eleven Iowans has been tested; one out of every 12 tested was found to be negative; one of 110 of those tested was found to be positive. To date, of those tested in Iowa, 9.6% have been found to be positive.
