Mobile Food Pantry to return to Postville June 15

The Mobile Food Pantry, assisted by the National Guard and local volunteers, that distributed food in Postville on May 18 served 93 families consisting of 383 individuals. Sixty-one of those served were first time clients, 16 came from towns other than Postville including Decorah, Elgin, Monona, Luana, Fredericksburg and Waukon.

The Mobile Pantry, with distribution by the National Guard, is coming again on June 15 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. They will be delivering food for 150 families during this distribution. Volunteers are needed to help with the distribution. Any youth group or other service organization willing to help should contact any member of the local Food Pantry Board. Those members are Carolyn Livingood, Audrey Wedo, Barbara Herzmann and Sharon Drahn.
