Girls participate in UIC Indoor Meet, Decorah

The Lady Pirates competed in the Upper Iowa Conference Indoor meet last week at Luther College in Decorah.

Yaritzy Hernandez was the only Pirate to finish in the top eight in an event. Her time of 3:21.65 gave her an eighth place finish in the 800 meter run. She scored the team’s only point.

The Lady Pirates participated in the following events:

Long jump, Monica and Veronica Santoyo; 55 meter run, Isabelle Berger and Marcy Ixen; 200 meter run, Katelyn Linderbaum and Jennifer Bernal; 400 meter run, Katelyn Linderbaum and Khiaya Burns; 800 meter run, Yaritzy Hernandez; 1500 meter run, Laura Roman and 4 x 200 meter run, Henandez, Bernal, Burns and Roman.
