Although the Allamakee County Dairy Banquet was not held in March, the Dairy Days Parade will occur next Monday, June 15. The parade will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds in Waukon. Among others who will be participating in the event are Faith Palmer, Allamakee County Dairy Princess, and Kaylee Gibbs, Alternate Allamakee County Dairy Princess. Both girls, who were named royalty in 2019, will continue serving until March of 2021.

Everyone is asked to come out and support dairy as family floats, and businesses, and any dairy-themed unit, are encouraged to participate.

All entries are asked to be at the fairgrounds at 7 p.m. to line up. For the safety of all, no candy or dairy products will be handed out during this year’s parade.

The Dairy Wagon will be set up in the Waukon City Park and will begin serving shakes at 4 p.m. The Cattlemen will also be serving in the park. This will be pick-up/drive-up service only.

Allamakee County residents and businesses are asked to support dairy by displaying cow and other dairy pictures in their windows to show their support of June Dairy Month.
