Wrestlers have busy week as they prepare for Conference Tournament; Camarillo gets 100th win

Thursday, January 18, the Pirates wrestled South Winn and North Fayette Valley. Although they were unable to get a team win, several individuals did well.

South Winn

Team score: Postville, 12; South Winn, 66

North Fayette Valley

Team score: Postville, 30; North Fayette Valley, 54

The Pirates also wrestled MFL Mar Mac and Clayton Ridge last week.

It was an exciting match for Uvaldo Camarillo who got his 100 win over his MFL MarMac opponent.

The Pirates score was 13; MFL MarMac, 61

220: Steffans over Jacob Trudo ((Dec 6-2)

106: Rankin over Logan Engelhardt (MD 8-0)

120: Camarillo over Chaise Zigler (Fall 2:33)

Clayton Ridge

Postville won the match over the Eagles by a score of 36-21 to get the dual win.

This week the Pirates have a varsity meet at Midland on Thursday and will compete in the UIC tournament on Saturday at South Winn.
