School board approves pay increases for substitute cooks, secretaries, aides, custodians, nurses

The Postville Board of Education met in regular session Monday, July 16, one week later than its normal meeting date, in the lobby of the Fine Arts and Civic Center. Members present were President Jamie Smith, JoAnn Jacobs, Tony Gericke and Staci Malcom. Jeff Cox was absent.

As part of the consent agenda, Daryl Schultz, who had previously been the athletic director, was hired to be the high school volleyball coach. While accepting Schultz as the volleyball coach, his resignation as game manager was accepted.

Also while hiring Kristen Richardson  as an elementary special education teacher, she resigned her position as after school program coordinator. Three other resignations were accepted including Kari Sass as school nurse; Kallie Heitland, paraprofessional and Michael Henrickson, custodian.

The regular August School Board will be held August 13 at 6:30 p.m.
