Postville Volunteer Fire Department participating in “Fill the Boot”

The Postville Volunteer Fire Department once again participated the annual “Fill the Boot” campaign. This event  consisted of local volunteers raising funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), as the firemen asked community members to drop their donations into the “Fire Boots.”

Members of the Volunteer Fire Department were on Lawler and Tilden Streets with boots asking both pedestrians, as well as those driving by to contribute to this worthwhile cause. They collected donations on Friday, August 30 and Saturday, August 31.

All money raised will go directly to the Association to help those affected by MDA, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and other muscle diseases.
