Pirates place fifth at UIC tournament as Camarillo is a champion and Rankin finished the day in second place

The Upper Iowa Conference Wrestling meet was held at South Winn on Saturday with eight conference schools participating.

The Pirates finished in fifth place with 100 team points.

The meet was won by host school South Winn with 247 points. MFL MarMac was second with 212. 

Other teams and their scores are as follows:

North Fayette Valley: 150

Tripoli :110

Postville: 100

Starmont: 87.5

Clayton Ridge: 33

Elkader Central: 11

The Pirates had two wrestlers in the finals as Uvaldo Camarillo finished first at 120 pounds and Riley Rankin was second at 106.

Sectionals will be held at Sumner-Fredricksburg, Sumner on Saturday, February 3 beginning at Noon.

Districts will be hosted by South Winn. at Luther College-Decorah) on Saturday, February 10 beginning at Noon.
