Pirates pick up first win of season over MFL MarMac

North Linn: Game One 15-0; Game Two 10-0

Starmont: 3-2

MFL MarMac: Game One 6-5 win; Game Two 16-4

Following the first few games of the season, Coach Steege said, “Overall this team has shown great improvement over last season. We still have many things we can do better, but this group is willing to work and has demonstrated some passion for the game. I am extremely proud of their efforts thus far and the never give up attitude they have displayed each game. If these young players can continue to improve, they should find some success in the season ahead. Also, we are fortunate to have three great senior leaders in Reinhardt, Hughes, and Hamilton. I appreciate the seniors who give up their summers to support the program. Thanks to all the parents and fans who have attended so far and I look forward to seeing you all at the ball park!”
