Pirates participate in Decorah tournament; Camarillo wins four matches on the day
The Pirate wrestlers participated in a varsity tournament at Decorah last Saturday. The tournament featured many large school as the Pirates faced several well-established wrestlers.
Postville faced the host school Decorah in the first round as they were defeated 72-3.
Decorah
Uvaldo Camarillo got the only win for the Pirates as he won a 3-2 decision over Mason Olsgard.
West Salem/Bangor
West Salem/Bangor defeated Postville 57-16 in the third match.
Following the first three matches, Postville went on to compete in the consolation pool.
St. Charles
St. Charles defeated Postville 64-4
Winning his match was Pirate Sabino Chilel at 126. He won a major decision over Connor Simon by a score of 15-5.
Thursday, January 18 the team travels to MFL MarMac for a dual meet and Saturday they will compete in a tournament at North Butler. Tuesday, January 23 the varsity will wrestle at Ed-Co.
