Pirate soccer team defeats Waterloo East and Webster City in action last week

The Postville Soccer team opened the 2017 season last Tuesday against Waterloo East when the met each other in Cedar Falls.

Postville came out strong as they defeated East High by a score of 10-0 as six different Pirates scored goals.

In their first game the Pirates defeated Class 2A Webster City 3-0 as they scored twice in the first half.

In the second game the Pirates played highly ranked Solon and the score was 0-0 after regulation play.

The Pirates were able to make four of five  (penalty kicks) PK’s  while trying to break the tie. The Pirates would eventually lose a heartbreaker in penalty kicks. They final score was 5-4.

 

The Pirates were scheduled to play at home Monday evening against Waterloo Columbus Catholic. Their next scheduled contest is Monday, April 17 against Denver.
