PHS to field varsity girls softball and basketball teams as they compete in the UIC

A group of between 30-40 parents, students, coaches and school board members attended a meeting Thursday evening, January 25 in the Fine Arts and Civic Center at Postville Community Schools.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the future girls’ softball and basketball at the varsity level at Postville High School  as they continue as members of the Upper Iowa Conference.  The meeting was hheld at the request of the conference as they make plans to schedule games for next season.

Following the meeting, which lasted nearly two hours, it was decided that PHS will field a varsity softball team this spring (2018) as well as a basketball team during the 2018-19 season made up of female athletes from PHS.
