PEPTO receives grant; volunteers needed

The Postville Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PEPTO) recently received a $5,000 grant from the McElroy Foundation to help fund Postville’s Handicap Accessible and Inclusive Playground project.

Fundraising is still in progress. It is PEPTO’s goal to have the new playground in place before school starts in the fall of 2020. PEPTO is now an official 501c3 non-profit organization.

PEPTO is currently looking for volunteers for the 2019-20 school year and is challenging parents/guardians/familes to pledge two hours of their time this year helping with projects, events, fundraising and overall helping the students.

Anyone wishing to help may fill out the form at https://tinyurl.com/PEPTOSurvey or return a paper copy from the school.  Interested persons will be contacted once the forms are returned.

The next regular PEPTO meeting is September 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cora B. Darling Elementary library. All interested persons are encouraged to attend.
