Last week's storm brings damages to the area

Major wind storms ravaged throughout Northeast Iowa last Wednesday evening as winds were clocked at over 80 miles per hour and an F1 tornado touched down in nearby McGregor destroying several historic buildings. In Postville many trees were felled by the high winds. The trampoline pictured here was picked up by the wind from a yard on Postville’s Greene Street and deposited in the yard of Jack and Dellene Hager on the corner of Village and Lybrand Streets.  The National Weather Service has designated portions of Allamakee and Clayton County as a National Disaster Area following last week’s storms.
