Joseph Thomas John Benson, 75, of Decorah, Iowa died Friday, October 19, 2018 at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah, Iowa.

Visitation was held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a 4:00 pm Scripture Service on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Postville, Iowa. There was also be a one hour visitation before Mass at the church on Thursday.

Mass of Christian Burial with Military Rites was held at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Postville, Iowa with Rev. Nils de Jesús Hernández as the celebrant.

Burial will be held at a later date.

Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Postville, Iowa is helping the family with arrangements.
