John E. Svendsen, 85, of Castalia, Iowa died Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota.  

Visitation will be 9-11 am, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, Castalia, Iowa.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, Castalia, Iowa with Rev. Alan Wicks as the officiant.

Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery, Castalia, Iowa with military rites.

Schutte- Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Postville, Iowa is helping the family with arrangements.
