John Charles Meyer

John Charles Meyer, 83, completed his Baptismal journey in the early morning of November 3, 2017, stepping into the arms of Jesus while in loving care at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Northwood, Iowa. Though John lost his 21-year battle with cancer, his spirit lives eternally.

Visitation will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2017, at the Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 First Ave. South, Northwood, Iowa, and at the church one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the First Lutheran Church, 309 North 9th Street, Northwood, Iowa, the Reverend Barbara Wills officiating. Military honors will be conducted at the church Saturday by members of Our Buddies VFW Memorial Post 6779, Northwood, and members of the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Burial will follow in the Postville Cemetery, Postville.
