Jacobson runs back opening kick-off for TD as Pirates fall to MFL MarMac two weeks ago

Two weeks ago, the Pirates traveled to Monona to play their long-time rival the MFL MarMac Bulldogs. Although the Pirates began the game in an exciting fashion, they would eventually fall 37-13.

Senior Owen Jacobson took the opening kick-off 65 yards for a touchdown and with a successful kick by Uvaldo Camarillo they would take an early 7-0 lead.

Carlos Cruz kicked off to the Bulldogs who were held to a three and out. Camarillo took the punt to the 25 where Harrison Dehning took over at quarterback due to the injury of Jacob Steffans. The Pirates were also held to a three and out and Cruz was again called upon to kick.

The Bulldogs had great field position on the 49 yard line and a long pass set up their first touchdown. Their successful kick tied the score 7-7.

Wilmar Marroquin moved the ball down to midfield, Dehning would connect with Jacobson for the Pirates second touchdown on a long pass. The point after was not successful and the score was 13-7 in favor of the Pirates.
