Iowa Scenic Byways Public Art "Hometown to the World globe" dedicated in Postville

This “Hometown to the World” globe, created by Steve and Peggy Kittelson, was dedicated last Wednesday outside the RC & D building on East Greene Street. The Kittelsons have been working on the project for approximately a year as it one of the most unique pieces they have ever created.  The globe is mounted on a heavy iron pedestal that encircles it on one side.  Around the globe are three teleidoscopes, one with two mirrors  inside, one with three mirrors and the third one set on a mount low enough to be handicapped accessible.  The project is part of the statewide Byways of Iowa Public Art Initiative.
