Golf teams compete in several meets as season winds down

The Pirate boys’ and girls’ golf teams participated in several meets during the past two weeks.

In the meet against West Central, Postville scored 224 (with three golfers) and West Central shot 248.

The Pirate boys’ team defeated West Central by a score of 219-220. Dakota Hamilton was the runner-up medalist with a 52. Cole Walch had a 53; Harrison Dehning, 56; Collin Malcom, 58; Travis Fish, 61 and Conner Meyer, 72.

In a meet with North Fayette Valley, MFL MarMac and Postville the scores were 164 for North Fayette Valley, 193 for MFL MarMac and 215 for the Pirates.

On the girls side the scores were North Fayette Valley, 194; MFL MarMac, 238 and Postville, 301. 

The boys’ team teed up against Waukon where they were defeated by a score of 185 to 224.

The girls’ team golfed against Clayton Ridge, North Cedar and East Buchanan last week on the road.
