Girls win one set against Turkey Valley yet fall to Trojans and South Winn in action last week

The girls hosted Turkey Valley in the Pirate gym last week where they came out on the floor ready to play. They won the first set 25-19 but were unable to get the momentum going in the final sets in their favor. The scores of the next two sets were 13-25 and 18-25. The final set saw the girls showing new found enthusiasm. However, they would be unable to hold on and ended up losing the set and the match by a score of 23-25. The final score was 3-1.

South Winn

Thursday night the girls traveled to South Winn where they fell 3-0. However, after losing in a lopsided first set by a score of 14-25, they came back and played the Warriors down to the wire in the final two sets as the scores were 22-25 and 21-25.

This week the Pirates were slated to travel to Clayton Ridge on Monday night and were to host MFL MarMac for Parents’ Night on Tuesday. Saturday, October 6 the girls travel to Riceville for a tournament.
