Girls show much improvement as they score 19 runs against West Central

The girls traveled to West Central on Wednesday where they played a double header. Due to the weather, it was their only action of the week. Although they came up short in both games, the Lady Pirates got their bats going in game two and just came up short as they scored 19 runs. The score in game one was 11-1 and in the hitting contest in game two, the final was 20-19 as the game went seven innings.

Game One

In game one the Blue Devils scored four runs in the first after the Pirates scored one in the top of the first. Unfortunately, it was the only run the Postville nine would get on the board. West Central put up two in the third, three in the fourth and their final two in the fifth inning.

Sierra Mohs did a good job on the mound for the Pirates as she struck out two and walked one in four innings of work.

Mackenzie Mohs scored the only Pirate run as Emily Navarro had two hits in the game. Mackenzie Mohs reached base twice on walks and Kylee Whalen and Yaritzy Hernandez also reached on walks.
