Engelhardt to be speaker at Veterans Day program November 9

Kevin Engelhardt, who graduated from Postville High School in 1985, will be the featured speaker at this year’s Veterans Day Program Thursday, November 9.

Kevin served four years in the United States Marine Corps where he began his training at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina from December 1990 to April of 1991.

He served during Operation Desert Shield/Storm during the early 90’s as well.

Engelhardt spent six months in Okinawa, Japan from February to August 1992 as part of his Marine Corps service.

Currently, Kevin lives in Summerville,  Pennsylvania where he severs as a Corrections Officer at a men’s state prison, a position he has held for 19 years. He and his wife, Nicky have a daughter, Ariana. He also has three older children, Elizabeth, Elayne and Dalton and a grandson, Maxon.

Kevin is the son of Roger and the late Carol Engelhardt and his step mom is Becky Engelhardt.

The program, which will be held in the high school gym, begins at 10 a.m. and is sponsored by the Junior and Senior High Student Councils.

The high school band will perform and vocal groups from the entire school will sing.

Several Quilts of Valor will also be presented.

All are encouraged to attend this salute to veterans.
