Council discusses budget requests and drive-through proposal for tele-pharmacy

Nathan Thompson of the Regional Planning Commission, RC & D, was present at the regular meeting of the Postville City Council January 8. His requested that the City approve the submittal of a grant application to the Iowa Economic Development Authority for a Catalyst Building Remediation Grant. He explained that there will be no cost to the City as the match used would come from revolving loans funds. The grant, if approved, would be for 100,000 dollars and would be used to renovate a downtown building.

Linda Nightingale, who has purchased the building on North Lawler Street formerly known as Sandie’s Hair Design, was present at the meeting. It was noted that she plans to remodel the building as it will become a tele-pharmacy.
