Commencement exercises to be held Sunday; view on Facebook Live

The annual commencement exercises for graduating seniors in the Postville High School Class of 2020 will be held this Sunday, May 17 in the high school gym. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as well as guidelines set out by Governor Kim Reynolds and the Iowa Department of Public Health, the celebration will be held in a unique manner this year. The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. as it is anticipated to last three hours. Graduation will be a drive through event that will be live-streamed by way of the Postville Community School District Facebook Page. Graduates’ vehicles will line up in the High School “U” parking lot and down West Post Street to the west and graduates and immediate families will enter the gym as individual groups and will exit immediately after receiving their diplomas.
