Coach Rose pleased with Lady Pirate performance at Bulldog Relays last week

The Pirate track teams finally were able to run outside last Thursday in Monona as the weather has been less than cooperative this spring. Six girls teams competed in the Bulldog Relays.

The Lady Pirates competed in six events and for the most part showed great improvement.

Event participants were:

Shot put, Jennifer Bernal

100 meter dash, Isabelle Berger, Marcy Ixen, Merlin Loyes

200 meter dash, Isabelle Berger, Khaiya Burns, Merlin Loyes

400 meter run: Jennifer Bernal, Khaiya Burns, Yaritzy Hernandez

800 meter run: Laura Roman and Yaritzy Hernandez

4 x 100 meter relay: Ixen, Berger, Burns and Bernal.

This week the girls were slated to run at Crestwood on Tuesday, April 17. April 23 they will run in a coed meet Sumner-Fred as well.
