Board of Education hires Steege as athletic director and 7-12 at-risk coordinator

The Postville Board of Education, meeting in regular session, accepted gifts to the district from Club of the Hour, $175 to the milk fund/nurse supplies and IL Norplex, $2,500 for STEAM night.

Resignations were accepted from Diane Engen, 21st Century Grant Site Coordinator; Annette Deering, lunch room computer operator; Danielle Bucknell, elementary teacher and Laurie Adrian, elementary teacher.

Luke Steege, who has been teaching high school history, is transferring to the 7-12 at-risk coordinator and athletic director. Donna Green is transferring to a preschool paraprofessional.

Following a motion by Jeff Cox and a second by Tony Gericke, the district approved the purchase of the Child Care Services building at a cost of $248,547.85.
