Board of Education hires school nurse, and custodian at August meeting

The Board of Education hired Keisha Kerr as the Postville Community School District Nurse for the upcoming school year. Kerr will replace Kari Sass who resigned at the end of the 2017-18 school year. They also hired Shelly Tafollo as a custodian.

Three resignations were accepted including Marcy Kraus as varsity softball coach; Abdiwahab Ali as the Somali liaison and Lorri Pladsen as an elementary associate.

The Board voted unanimously to approve seven open enrollment students into the district. They include two kindergartners, a fourth grader, a fifth grader, an eighth grader and a freshman.
