Board of Education discusses possible purchase of Postville Child Care building

The Postville Board of Education met in regular session Monday, October 9 as they addressed several agenda items.

Following approval through the consent agenda, The Postville FFA (Future Farmers of America), under the direction of Nick Zuercher, received permission to attend the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana from October 24-October 27.

Superintendent Tim Dugger  shared information about the possible purchase of the Child Care Building. The Board was asked to think about how they would like to proceed with this process. It was noted that the Postville Community School District owns the land where the building sits. If purchased the district would use the lower level for early childhood special education classes.

Information was also distributed about how to access future meeting information by way of the district website as the district moves toward paperless board meetings.
