Board of education approves bid for the refinishing of the gym floor

The Postville Board of Education, meeting in regular session Monday, January 13, approved several items on the consent agenda. Emma Treloar was hired as the junior high student council advisor; Ray Rankin was hired as a substitute bus driver; Mary Ohloff was hired as a full-time paraprofessional and Alexis Valentine was transferred to a full-time paraprofessional position. 

Kirsten Richardson, who is an elementary Special Education teacher tendered her resignation effective at the end of the current school year and Jennifer Olsen a full-time paraprofessional resigned effective January 10, 2020. Both resignations were accepted.

Federal funding for the 2019-20 school year was accepted in the following amounts: Title IA Basic, $299,835; Title IC Migrant, $182,567; Title IIA SEI $34,081; Title IVA SSE, $18,553;Title V Rural, $14,362.
