In the last several weeks the Northeast Iowa YMCA has transitioned to the  Northeast Iowa Wellness and Recreation Center (WRC). Although the Center is no longer affiliated with the National organization, local members have seen little, if any, changes to the facility.

Melanie Bauch, who took over the helm as the director of operations on December 1 said, “My job is to oversee the facility events, staff, programming and scheduling. Most of the programs I am overseeing are the same, or very similar to the ones that have been in place for years.”

Bauch comes to the center with a background of fitness and nonprofit experience. Melanie is a certified personal trainer, NETA, Indoor Cycling Instructor, Sculpt Yoga Instructor, Kids and Chair Yoga Instructor and is a shallow water lifeguard.
